The AW109 Series has become one of the most popular twin engine, light helicopters of all time. The 109 has seen service in virtually every aspect of the helicopter industry across the world and is particularly popular in the VIP charter sector. The SP variant continues to sell extremely well alongside the lower specification E Power and recently introduced Trekker for a more utility market. The most significant difference between the SP and Trekker is the skid undercarriage replacing the retractable wheels of the normal AW109. Most are also offered with sliding rear doors.
