Bell 429 GlobalRanger
The 429 employs the all-new modular airframe concept and the advanced rotor blade design from the MAPL (Modular Affordable Product Line) program, whilst maintaining an engine and rotor drive system from its predecessor the 427. The main rotor blades have swept tips with the tail rotor employing a two stacked, two bladed system for a reduced noise signature. A glass cockpit is standard as is a 3 axis autopilot, with an optional 4 axis system. Standard configuration is for a skidded fuselage but a retractable under carriage option is available, giving a slightly higher cruise speed. Note; The 429 is operated under a reduced MAUW in EASA certification.
