Airbus AS365 N2
The AS365 is one of the simplest designed medium twin engine helicopters available, with efficiency at the forefront of its concept. In a VIP role, it is normally configured for 8 passengers in the rear cabin. In a utility configuration it is a very well proven work horse, seeing utilisation from HEMS and SAR to offshore crew change. The AS365 N2 was introduced in 1990 with many important upgrades. Namely, the use of 549 kW (737shp) Arriel 1C2 turboshaft engines, increasing power by 140shp overall, an uprated gearbox and an increased maximum take-off weight of 4,250 kg (9,370lb). It also enjoys redesigned cabin doors, a revised interior and an all composite Fenestron tail.
